Abstract
Three new species are described: Foveacheles gigantea n. sp., F. halltalens is n. sp. and F. proxima n. sp. Their phylogenetic relationships are discus sed. The new gigantea-species group is erected, based on the presence of a lyrifissure-like structure near the base of the fixed digit of the chelicer a. A cheliceral lyrifissure-like structure has not been previously observed and described in literature on mites of the superfamily Eupodoidea. The de finition of the genus Foveacheles is slightly adapted.
