Abstract
A new low-cost high power factor correction circuit for electronic bal last is presented. The proposed circuit provides good power factor cor rection, low current harmonic distortion and cost-effectiveness. The p rototype meets the IEC555-2 requirements satisfactorily with a power f actor of nearly unity.
