Abstract
The shear modulus of a seabed is an important soil parameter in the analysi s of the wave-seabed interaction problem. However, most previous investigat ions have only considered a porous seabed with uniform shear modulus, despi te strong evidence of shear modulus varying with soil depth have been repor ted in the literature. In this study, the seabed is treated as varying line arly with soil depth (i.e., Gibson soil). The wave-induced seabed response is found to be affected significantly by variable shear modulus.
