Abstract
A new suboptimum Viterbi algorithm for trellis-coded quadrature amplit ude modulation based on the channel state information of the multipath Rayleigh fading channel is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has merits for applications that require low bit e nergy-to-noise ratio.
