Abstract
A monolithically integrated optical sensor chip for measurement of ana lyte refractive index changes has been demonstrated. The 5 x 0.15mm(2) GaAs/AlGaAs-based integrated optical circuit consists of a Mach-Zehnd er interferometer with an integrated DBR laser, a waveguide detector a nd a dielectric waveguide sensor pad embedded in one interferometer ar m.
