Abstract
Some basic results for order intervals on ordered topological vector spaces are given. Then characterizations of order intervals where the partial ord ers are induced by the pointed matrix cones PYD in H-n and pi(O-n) in R-n a nd the pointed cones of linear transformations on matrices rr (PYD) and CP (among others) in HP together with some seminorms and norms which they gene rate are given.
