Notes on hyphomycetes. LXXV. New species of Brachysporiella and of the previously monotypic genus Ityorhoptrum on decorticated wood in southern Africa

One new species each of Brachysporiella Batista and of the previously monot ypic genus Ityorhoptrum Kirk, namely B. biseptata and I. natalense, are des cribed and illustrated from collections made on decaying wood in Natal Prov ince, Republic of South Africa. Both taxa have the essential characteristic s of their respective genera, although differing in some notable degree fro m the type species thereof.
