Abstract
The tubulin superfamily comprises a-tubulin and beta-tubulin, the subunits of microtubules, and gamma-tubulin, which is involved in the nucleation of new microtubules.' The identification of mammalian delta- and epsilon-tubul ins as components of centrosomes now indicates that tubulins may fulfill ev en more functions.
