Abstract
A polarimeter ortho-positronium quenching in a magnetic field is used to me asure polarization of slow positron beams. This polarimeter is employed for a polarization measurement at an e(+) beam system where the beam is provid ed from the beta(+) decay of Si-27 produced via the Al-27(p.n)Si-27 reactio n caused by proton irradiation. The beam polarization is determined to be 3 8.4 +/- 4.0(statistical) +/- 8.7(systematic)%. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B. V. All rights reserved.
