Abstract
This study presents a simple lumped parameter model of an absorption h eat transformer (AHT). The model is compared with operating data from a pilot-scale AHT unit incorporated with one of the sulphite-liquor ev aporation plants at a major pulp and paper mill. The expected performa nce of a full size AHT incorporated in different ways to the evaporati on plant is also discussed.
