Abstract
Subpontic osseous hyperplasia has been portrayed in both the historical and the current literature as occurring exclusively in the mandibular posterio r region. This article presents the clinical, radiologic, and microscopic d ocumentation of subpontic osseous hyperplasia occurring in the maxillary fi rst molar region.
