Abstract
A micromagnetic algorithm has been developed using the finite-difference me thod (FDM). Elliptic field equations are solved on the mesh using the effic ient dynamic alternating direction implicit method. Smooth surfaces have be en included in the FDM formulation so structures of irregular shape can be modeled. The current distribution and temperature of devices are also calcu lated.
