New band structures in the neutron-rich Pd-113,Pd-115,Pd-117 nuclei have be
en constructed by measuring the gamma-gamma-gamma coincidences emitted from
the spontaneous fission of Cf-252 with GAMMASPHERE. The triple gamma-ray c
oincidence data revealed new negative-parity bands built on 11/2(-) isomeri
c states in Pd-113,Pd-115,Pd-117. These bands built on the nu h(11/2) orbit
al suggest a band crossing at a frequency of (h) over bar omega approximate
to 0.45 MeV. The rotational behavior and energy level spacings of these ba
nds suggest a prolate shape. Two previously unreported bands are also obser
ved in Pd-113,Pd-115 and tentatively assigned positive parity. These have b
and crossings at 0.25 and 0.32 MeV.
