R. Majumdar et Dp. Bhattacharyya, INFLUENCE OF INITIAL REACCELERATION PHENOMENA BY STRONG SHOCK ON THE SUB FE FE RATIO/, Canadian journal of physics, 75(5), 1997, pp. 273-281
Using the analytical model based on the influence of initial strong sh
ock acceleration, the nux of the primary Fe nuclei and the sub Fe/Fe r
atio were extrapolated to the sources and compared with the expected r
esults. The source spectrum derived from the SSLB (steady-state leaky-
box model) and from the Fe spectrum measured at the top of the atmosph
ere, by balloon-borne plastic-emulsion chamber experiments, follows th
e form similar to p(-2.19) where p is the momentum. Weak reacceleratio
n also occurs due to strong shocks at a rate B = 0.410 cm(2) gm(-1) wh
ere B is the inverse path length between shocks and is found to be con
current with the expected result in the inter stellar medium based on
the galactic escape length and on the projectile fragmentation cross s
ections. The derived (Sc-Cr)/Fe flux ratios from the WELST (Wandel, Ei
chler, Letaw, Silberberg, and Tsao) model at the sources without and w
ith the reacceleration term have been compared with our and other rese
archers results.
