Abstract
Fluoroform is shown to be an efficient trifluoromethylating agent when depr otonated using standard reagents in DMF. The important role of DMF as a sol vent but also as a reactant was demonstrated. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd . All rights reserved.
