Publication dates of papers on the Anthicidae (Coleoptera) by the Marquis F. T. de LaFerte-Senectere

The publication dates of two key works by the Marquis F. T. de LaFerte-Sene ctere on the Anthicidae are determined. It is established that the series o f generic revisions published by LaFerte-Senectere in the "Species et icono graphie generique des Animaux Articules," edited by F.-E. Guerin-Meneville, precede the release of his "Monographie des Anthicus et genres voisins" by one or two months, and take precedence for the new generic and specific na mes given in both publications. Both publications appeared early in 1849.
