Abstract
A method is given for the determination of thiamine (vitamin B-1) and ribof lavin (vitamin B-2) in pet foods and animal feedingstuffs. The vitamins are extracted from the food matrix by digestion with 0.1 M hydrochloric acid f ollowed by enzyme digestion with clara-diastase. The filtered solution is a nalysed by reversed-phase HPLC for riboflavin (directly) and thiamine (afte r thiochrome formation) using fluorescence detection.
