Abstract
Both SUNCT syndrome and idiopathic stabbing headache (ISH) (jabs and jolts syndrome) have to he considered when encountering shortlasting headaches. S ince there are no specific tests for these headaches, the differential diag nosis depends entirely upon assessment of the clinical features. These head aches are generally easily distinguishable clinically. There seem to be sym ptomatic forms of SUNCT.
