Abstract
Recent legislative initiatives have introduced new requirements on the sens ors in safety critical systems, which have resulted in new requirements for high-performance gear-tooth sensing. In response to these trends, Hall-eff ect gear-tooth sensing (GTS) technology has focused on the development of s elf-calibration techniques. This feature explores some of the significant p rogress that has been made.
