Abstract
A dass of interleavers for turbo codes is proposed. The interleavers posses s properties that enable weight spectrum thinning for the resultant turbo c odes. Simulation results shaw that turbo codes based on the proposed interl eavers outperform those based on conventional interleavers in terms of the bit error rate.
