Abstract
A three-channel optical waveguide switch has been designed using carrier-in
duced refractive index effects. Switching between individual or a combinati
on of channels was achieved by controlling electrical currents injected thr
ough two parallel electrodes. A crosstalk of -19dB between adjacent channel
s has been measured over a spectral range spanning 40nm.
