Thermal stability and degradation processes in PVC/EVA systems were ev
aluated for a series of EVAs with different vinyl acetate contents. Th
e experimental data revealed a relationship between the thermogravimet
ric curves and the degree of interaction in the mixtures as compared t
o the pure polymers, which is consistent with the results of microscop
ic analysis. Kinetic parameters and lifetime data on the mixtures were
also calculated.
