Abstract
In several collections of clams belonging to the species Megapitaria s qualida, M. aurantiaca, Spondylus princeps and Laevicardium elatum, wh ich were taken from places near La Paz, B.C.S., Mexico, 35 specimens ( 75-120 mm of total lenght) of the tropical eastern Pacific pearlfish E ncheliophis dubius (Putman), were found. M. squalida is the preferred host, and its occasional hosts are the other three mentioned clam spec ies.
