Abstract
Genomic imprinting is the parental-allele-specific expression of genes. Bec kwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS), a congenital overgrowth syndrome with incre ased risk of childhood tumors, is one of the well-known diseases caused by imprinted genes. The imprinted genes causing BWS are discussed in this revi ew.
