Abstract
In this paper we present two different design approaches to the implementat ion of fast peak detector-stretchers for Xray absorption fine structure flu orescence applications (XAFS). After describing the motivations for using p eak detector-stretchers in high rate applications, we discuss in detail the design and benefits of their use in a modern nuclear spectroscopy system.
