Abstract
Dibutyltin(IV)aluminium(III)-mu-oxoisopropoxy acetate (A) and dibutyltin((I V) aluminium(III)-mu-oxoisopropoxide (B) have been synthesised. The reactio n of A with heterocarboxylic acids viz. indole-3-carboxylic (ICH), indole-3 -propionic (IPH), indole-3-butyric acid (IBH) and L-tryptophan (TRH) yield complexes of the types Bu2Sn(OAc)OAl(OPri)L and Bu2Sn(OAc)OAl(L)(2) (where L=heterocarboxylate anion). The reaction of B with heterocarboxylic acids y ield compounds of the types Bu2SnO2Al2(OPri)(3)L and Bu2SnO2Al2(OPri)(2)L-2 . These complexes have been characterised by elemental analysis and spectra l studies (IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, Sn-119 NMR and Al-27 NMR). 2-D H-H Cosey NMR of Bu2SnO2Al2(OPri)(4) has also been reported.
