Waterways of Montevideo - The basin of the Miguelete Brook

This paperwork present a general view of the wafer resources situation at t he basin of the Miguelete brook. What is more it would evaluate the environ mental impact produced by the industries around it based on the researchs m ade at the "Unidad de Efluentes Industriales" (Intendencia Muncipal de Mant evideo). This work involves samples of the basin and its affluents specifyi ng the flow and contaminating charge spilled by each kind of industry. Furt hermore, this paper covers the study of the area taking into account its in habitants in comparison to the industries. Finally it was made a situation analysis and a vulnearability study of the brook taking as a reference the normative in force - Codigo de Aguas, stand ards to prevent environment contamination by means of the water control-(De c. 253/79 and modifications).
