Abstract
The microstructure evolution during the coiling of low carbon steel sheet i s analysed. For this purpose, a thermal finite element formulation coupled with a phase change model and a kinetic law for the reaction of the precipi tated aluminium nitride (AIN) is described. The numerical results obtained in this work are experimentally validated. The influence of the phase chang e and the coiling temperature on the cooling rates and on the AIN precipita ted fraction are shown. I&S/1415.
