Abstract
In the framework of design strategy for multiblock and multilayer grids we have developed a numerical algorithm for calculating a laminar flow around a thick profile with passive and active vortex cells based on the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations written in covariant velocity components. We have justified a way of flow control connected with the realization of the separation-free regime of flow around a profile to ensure its high quality .
