Abstract
A slim type single-phase brushless spindle motor with innovative design has
been developed for application in DVD driving system. By reshaping the sta
tor configuration and shifting the Hall element position, the performance o
f spindle motor has been improved. In our research this innovative design h
as been successfully demonstrated for use in slim-type DVD application. (C)
