A distributed-feedback InGaAsP diode laser has been used to perform spectra
lly resolved measurements of H2O transitions near 7117 cm(-1). Line shape a
nalyses of the recorded absorption spectra yielded the temperature-dependen
t Ar-broadened half-widths. Room-temperature (296 K) half-widths for four t
ransitions were determined with an uncertainty of + 7%/ - 5%. Temperature e
xponents for three of these transitions were determined over the range of 2
