The problem of Meissner effect in exotic anyon superconductor is redis
cussed from the point of view of spontaneously broken symmetry and Hig
gs mechanism idea. It is rederived that for noninteracting anyon syste
m, within the random-phase-approximation, the Meissner effect does not
appear for T not-equal 0. Inclusion of electromagnetic interaction le
ads to the typical Higgs mechanism in agreement with previous results
of RANDJBAR-DAEMI et al. but contrary to YANG et al. (which is, howeve
r, more realistic for physical systems). Moreover, the equivalence of
the mean field approach to anyon system with the HALDANE fractional st
atistics description is indicated.
