Abstract
Signs of abdominal pain in camelids are subtle, yet distinct from those of other species. Alpacas with signs of abdominal pain should undergo early and complete phys ical, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging evaluations. Surgical intervention for gastrointestinal abnormalities should be performe d in a timely manner.
