Abstract
In the framework of the McClure model, which describes the electronic energ y spectrum of bismuth and its alloys in the neighborhood of the L point of the Brillouin zone, an expression is obtained for the electron energy level s in a magnetic field. This expression is used to calculate the magnetic su sceptibility of bismuth alloys at arbitrary magnetic fields. It is shown th at the theoretical results are in good agreement with the entire set of pub lished experimental data on the field, temperature, and concentration depen dences of the magnetic susceptibility of bismuth-antimony alloys.
