The measured thermal conductivity of insulating Bi2Sr2yCu2O8 is used t
o estimate the phonon part of the thermal conductivity kappa(T) of the
superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8. Subtraction gives an ''experimental'' e
lectronic part kappa(ei), and thus a Wiedemann-Franz ratio L = kappa(e
l)/sigmaT, close to the Lorenz number L0, with a small temperature dep
endence opposite to conventional electron-phonon scattering.
