Abstract
We report an intracerebral cryptococcal granuloma in a patient who presente d with recent memory disturbance and deteriorating mental status followed b y temporary loss of consciousness. To our knowledge, this is the first repo rted case of an intracerebral cryptococcal granuloma examined by a combinat ion of conventional MRI, fluid-attenuated inversion-recovery and diffusion- weighted imaging and in which the surgical specimen was analysed histochemi cally.
