Abstract
We describe baryon stopping without free parameters via a mechanism in whic h net baryon number is shifted to mid-rapidities without valence quarks. We explain by the same mechanism the observed enhancement of strange baryons and antibaryons. The description of the Omega yield requires the introducti on of final slate interaction with a very small cross-section, of the order of 0.1 mb.
