Abstract
The diffraction efficiency of volume grating written by two-wave mixing in Ce:KNSBN photorefractive crystal as a function of the writing beam ratio fo r different polarized reading beam is studied. Due to the energy transfer, the diffraction efficiency strongly depends on the polarization and the inc ident direction of the reading beam. The modified coupled-wave theory fitti ng results are coincident with the experimental data quite well.
