Abstract
[GRAPHICS] The equilibrium between alpha,beta-ethylenic imines and their secondary ena mine tautomer form has been demonstrated for the first time. These imines r eact with electrophilic olefins to give Michael adducts at either the alpha or the alpha' position of the imine function.
