Separation of curium and americium traces by displacement complexing chroma
tography in the presence of cadmium separating ions and with the use of NTA
solution as eluent was studied. The curium-cadmium and americium-cadmium s
eparation coefficients were determined. Curium is separated from americium
during nonstationary transfer of boundaries of the bands of the elements be
ing separated. The separation mechanism was determined.
