The effect of AlCl3 on the aggregative stability of an aqueous dispersion o
f sulfate lignin was studied spectrophotometrically in wide ranges of AlCl3
concentrations (1 x 10(-5)-2 x 10(-3) M) and pH (1.3-12.0). The optimal Al
Cl3 concentrations and pH were found, corresponding to high extent of sulfa
te lignin recovery from solution.
