Abstract
The alkaline hydrolysis of acrylamide and acrylonitrile copolymers in conce ntrated aqueous solutions was studied. The process was investigated as infl uenced by temperature and concentration of reagents and sodium sulfite take n in substoichiometric amounts. The microstructure of hydrolyzed polymers w as analyzed using C-13 NMR spectroscopy.
