Abstract
Thermodynamic parameters for the supramolecular complex formation of fuller ene C-60 With calix[5]arene receptors are reported. The entropy change in c hloroform is negative, but in toluene is positive, suggesting the tight sol vation around the guest in toluene. Desolvation of the guest plays an impor tant role in the supramolecular complex formation in toluene. (C) 2000 Else vier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
