Abstract
A versatile modular system for complex branched polymer architectures has b een developed through exploitation of the multibranching polymerization che mistry of glycidol, This report summarizes recent advances in the preparati on of these novel polymers and describes the modular concept used to tailor their topology to give functional materials, such as the dye-loaded molecu lar nanocapsule depicted in the Figure.
