Abstract
A revision of the West Palearctic species of the genus Belaspidia is propos ed. Belaspidia meridionalis Steffan is synonymized with B. obscura Masi and Belaspidia nigra Masi with Chalcis nigra Siebold. Belaspidia elongata, sp. n., B. steffani, sp. n., B. tussaci, sp. n. and B. vadosa, sp. n, are desc ribed respectively from Spain, France, Morocco and Algeria. A key to the sp ecies is given.
