Abstract
The magnetization processes and the domain structure of epitaxial (110) Fe submicron-sized elements are studied experimentally and with micromagnetic simulations. Magnetic force microscopy and Kerr magnetometry results are in good agreement with the simulations, thus allowing the development of a co nsistent picture of the micromagnetics of these systems.
