Abstract
The structure of the title diterpene, C20H34O3 (8 alpha,13R-epoxylabd- 14-ene-1 alpha,5 alpha-diol), exhibits a very uncommon oxidation patte rn, with two axially disposed hydroxyl substituents at C1 and C5, and five tertiary methyl groups.
