Renal involvement is common in Henoch-Schoenlein purpura (HSP) and, wh
ile ureteral obstruction has been described in patients with the disea
se, it is rare. We report a female with HSP who developed bilateral ur
eteral obstruction from peri-ureteral vasculitis and subsequent ureter
al ischemia. Hydronephrosis and typical findings on contrast urography
indicated the diagnosis.
