Genetically modified maize in seed - Topical results an their interpretation

This paper reports on the first findings of genetically modified maize in c onventional seed maize in 1999. In a few number of seed maize samples conta minations of transgenic maize, especially the event Mon 810, were detectabl e. The concentrations of transgenic maize in the positive samples were lowe r than 0.5%. The problem of interpretation of the findings from the view of seed and genetic law is discussed.
