Abstract
We report a case of cryptococcal meningitis eight years after liver transpl antation for primary biliary cirrhosis. Detection of the cryptococcal antig en in serum and cerebrospinal fluid appears to be essential for initial dia gnosis and follow-up. Oral flucanazole treatment alone can be effective, wi zen given for a very long period to prevent relapse.
